North Suburban Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants is affiliated only with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. In addition to pulmonary medicine, our physicians are Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine as intensivists, managing the care of patients in the intensive care unit.

Paul performs pulmonary function testing, which patients find convenient. He worked at Lutheran General Hospital until joining the practice in 2001. Paul regards client education of their illness a top priority. He is a member of the National Board for Respiratory Care. His hobbies include astronomy and wood-working, among others.


Debbie Maynard, RN

Nurse Debbie Maynard has been practicing nursing for 40 years but believes in keeping up with current trends and practices. She has nursing experience in Family Practice, Ophthalmology, OB/gyne Immediate Care, and Pulmonary. She believes in treating the patient as a "whole" and not one specific entity. She enjoys collaborating with the team to provide the best care possible for the patient.


Suellen Moen, BSN, RN, CCRC


Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois

Nurse Suellen has been working with Dr. Stone in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Research for 14 years. Her responsibilities include coordination and oversight of all the sponsor and investigator-initiated CF research protocols. Suellen also helps as an office nurse for the North Suburban Physicians when necessary. She has been a nurse for 30 years, working in areas spanning critical care and spinal cord injury to hospice. “My joy is caring for my patients, and the trust that develops with that relationship. They fulfill me, and I help provide them with the care they deserve when they are at their most vulnerable.”


Donna Rathunde, CMA


Donna has over 30 years of clinical and administrative experience in the medical field. In 1984 she received her Associate Degree of Applied Science and earned her certification in medical assisting (CMA). She is an active member in good standing with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

From 1999-2018 Donna provided sponsorship for a child in need from Kenya, Africa through Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA), a non-profit organization providing medical care, food, and education to children and elderly in the world’s poorest communities. She also volunteers her services in her own community, providing help and companionship for the elderly. Donna’s hobbies include sports (Bears and Cubs!) and watching movies. What brings her the most joy is her family.


Candace Brenizer, Office Manager


Candace has been with North Suburban Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants since 2001. She first served as Office Receptionist and then Billing Coordinator before taking over as Office Manager. Outside of work, Candace enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.


Theresa Rolla, Office Receptionist


Theresa has been with North Suburban Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants since 2011. She works everyday to meet patient needs, whether it’s scheduling appointments, returning messages and communicating with the doctors and nurses to providing quality of care. Theresa’s 20+ years of experience in medical records and credentialing allow her to provide seamless service to patients.

Theresa is fluent in Spanish, and when she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children, Courtney and Joey, and playing and walking with her American Bulldog mix, Kiera.


Georgina Cuamatzi, Clerical Coordinator


Georgina has worked in the medical field for 25 years and has been with North Suburban Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants since 2016. She handles the practice’s prior authorizations and receives and sends all medical records. When she’s not at the office, Georgina enjoys spending time with her children.


Marisa Washington, Receptionist


Marisa joined North Suburban Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants in 2019 and serves as a receptionist. When she’s not in the office, Marisa enjoys spending time with family and walking her dog, Boots.
